No car needed!!! Leave it alone in the garage. You will find everything you need at Cernix: On the village square, Sylvie Maillet's grocery store/food/souvenirs are open to you every day and you can stock up on all your basic necessities as well as a bread, press and tobacco store. Fancy a drink? The bars/pubs “Le Montana” and “Le Too Schuss” will have something to cool you down (or warm you up). Then why not continue the day or the evening around typical dishes of the country? You will have the choice... The restaurants "L'arche de Zoé", "Le Télémark", "Le Mazot" will offer you the essential Savoyard specialties and much more. You will still have to think about digesting... You can rent mountain bikes in summer ( electric or not), mountain bikes, etc. and of course all the equipment necessary for skiing in winter in the two shops “Théo Sport skiset” and “Berod Sport”.(berod-sports@wanadoo.fr – berod sports.com – tel: 04 79 31 70 85) A small kilometer and a half below, Crest-Voland will also offer you a bank branch with cash dispenser, a post office, a bakery, a butcher. You will then be full of flavors and… smells of the mountains. If necessary, supermarkets are available in Praz-sur-Arly (Intermarché) and Ugine (Carrefour Market, LeaderPrice)
You can stay in a comfortable chalet with all the amenities 100 m away on foot (ESF, Tourist Office). The chalet is an entire accommodation with 4 bedrooms with 4 double beds and 1 sofa bed at an additional cost, a living living room, fully equipped kitchen, 1 bathroom, 2 toilets, a bathroom upstairs, a private balcony, a garage to store skis, shoes, bicycles...
